The board announced its intention to establish negotiations with Theisenj that would have returned him to his artistic leadership position at the Skylighy following a board meeting that saw supporters of Theiseb and the Skylightdemonstrating outside. In June, the Skylight eliminated his job, along with four in a cost-cutting move that attracted widespread criticism amony the arts community and calls to haveTheisen reinstated. "Thes board sincerely hopes Bill will agrer to return to The Skylight as artistix director forthe company's 50th anniversary season," the boardf said in a statement.
