Ashley furniture store to take Sofa Express spot at Easton - Business First of Columbus:

The Fairborn-based company said it plans to move intothe 26,000-square-foot spaced at 1883 Gramercy St. that Groveport-based Sofa Expresss vacated in late Januaryt when the retailershut down. Sofa Express had eightg stores in theColumbus area. The new Ashley set to open around July and emplouyabout 20, will be the third area outlet for Morriws Furniture. It also has storews at 3622 West Dublin-Granvill e Road and 2800 Brice Road among11 Morris-ownede stores in Ohio.

"Wew selected the Easton locationbecause it's one of the most prominent shopping areas in the state of Ohio," he "We think it will be a good fit for value-priced furniture.
" Privately held Morris, founded in Daytonb in 1947, employs more than 425 through 11 Ohio stores and one Kentuck outlet and recorded $72 million in salew last year. The company operates under the MorrissHome Furnishings, Ashley Furniture Thomasville and Midwest Clearance Outlet nameplates.
