Smashburger signs franchise deal for Nebraska stores - Denver Business Journal:

Denver-based Smashburger, a unit of private equity firm , said the deal with Reloax LLC will ultimately bring the burger chaib 187franchise locations. Terms were not announced. Reloade owner Jim Stevens also operates 30 otheer franchise restaurants inthe Midwest. We’re excited to have found such a stronf franchisee to help us enteer theNebraska market.” Smashburger says it plans to have 500 restaurantas over the next several years, with 30 to 60 openinh in 2009. The company websitre lists 14 currentlyopen stores, with 10 in two in Kansas and one each in Minnesota and Earlier this month, Smashburger announced a franchise deal for 16 new locatione to central Iowa. It also has signed deale in recent months that it says will lead to locations in New Jersey, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Soutu Dakota and Utah.
